Welcome to the Orbital Supply Brandbook. This guide will help you set up your file, understand what’s inside, and start customizing it for your brand. The goal: get a professional brandbook up and running in minutes — not weeks.

Quick Setup

  1. Download your file Once purchased, you’ll get direct access to the Brandbook file. Download it and open it in the supported editor.
  2. Duplicate the file Save a copy into your own workspace. This ensures you always keep the original file intact as a reference.
  3. Add your assets Replace the placeholder logo, colors, and fonts with your own brand assets. The structure is already set — you just plug in your elements.
  4. Customize variables Use the editor to adjust all global variables (colors, typography, spacing, strings). This instantly updates the entire Brandbook with your brand’s look and feel. You can also edit manually if preferred.
  5. Preview & refine Switch between light/dark mode and review the theming options. Adjust typography scales, grid usage, and fine-tune color contrasts — since depending on your brand’s palette, some default combinations may need tweaks for accessibility and balance.

What’s Included

The Brandbook comes pre-built with everything you need to define and present a brand identity:
  • 🎨 Variables → Global tokens for colors, typography, spacing, and strings (text variables that update written content in components).
  • 🖋 Typography → Ready-made text styles, scales, and hierarchies.
  • 🌗 Light/Dark Mode → Dual themes ready to switch anytime.
  • 🧩 Components → Modular sections including logo usage, color palette, typography rules, grid, photography, iconography, and tone of voice.
  • 🔀 Multi-brand → With a single click, switch the entire Brandbook theme for different brands or contexts.
All components are modular, meaning you can add, remove, or rearrange them without breaking the structure.

Best Practices

  • Build modular → When creating new components, always use the base variables and components provided in the file. This ensures consistency and scalability across your Brandbook.
  • Update variables first → Start with colors and typography, since these cascade through the entire document.
  • Use real content early → Swap placeholders with real logos, text, and visuals for a more accurate preview.

Next Steps

Now that your Brandbook is set up, you can dive deeper into customization:
  • Theming → Create or adapt visual styles for different contexts.
  • Typography → Explore type scales, hierarchies, and how to apply them.
  • Light/Dark Mode → Switch seamlessly between modes and refine contrasts.
  • Components → Discover all pre-built sections and how to use them.
